Come in for a comprehensive eye exam!
In 2022, Dr Christine Misener and Dr Tyler Brown, long-time patrons of Hamilton’s Locke Street community, saw that there was a need for eye care services there. They decided to create “Eyes on Locke” with the intention of being a beautiful space where the Locke Street community would have access to the highest standards of eye care and a curated selection of fashion-forward frames created by independent designers.
Dr Tyler Brown and Dr Christine Misener have been providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages for over a decade. They have the knowledge and expertise to address all of your eye care needs, from routine eye exams to complex eye conditions.
We offer a wide range of services at Eyes on Locke, including comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye care, contact lens fittings, and treatment for eye diseases and conditions. We use the latest technology and techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Our comprehensive eye exams provide a thorough evaluation of your eye health and vision. We use the latest technology to ensure accurate results and early detection of any potential issues.
We offer a variety of contact lenses to fit your specific needs, including daily wear, extended wear, and disposable lenses. Our optometrists will help you find the best option for your lifestyle.
Our experienced optometrists provide treatment for a variety of eye diseases and conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. We use the latest treatments and technologies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Considering LASIK surgery? We offer consultations to determine if you are a good candidate for this life-changing procedure. Our optometrists will provide a thorough evaluation and answer any questions you may have.
If you are experiencing an eye emergency, such as sudden vision loss, eye pain, or injury, please call our office immediately. We provide same-day appointments to ensure that you receive prompt and effective care.
Kids, seniors, and people with certain underlying health conditions should come in yearly as their eye health and vision can change rapidly in these groups. Healthy adults should come every other year or earlier if changes are noticed in the vision.
We ask that you bring any glasses that you wear, a list of any medications you take, your health card (even if you are not OHIP-eligible for vision coverage), and any insurance information you may have.
There are many conditions, like glaucoma and macular degeneration, that don't affect the vision at first but can be stopped or slowed down if caught in their earliest stages. In addition, many important health issues can appear in the eyes, like diabetes, MS, hypertension, and certain cancers. So, regular eye exams are important to your overall healthcare!
Our doctors will see most acute eye problems such as flashes & floaters, sudden vision loss, red eyes, and eye injuries. If we are open, our doctors will try hard to accommodate you as soon as possible, but if we are closed and you are experiencing an eye emergency, please go to the urgent care centre at St Joseph's King Street Campus, 2757 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8G 5E4.
